Our bodies are so clever that we work around minor injuries without even knowing they’re there and while this is really helpful in the short term, it often means we don’t realise the damage we’re doing until a more significant injury occurs. When injury strikes we not only need treatment and rest to heal but we need to rehabilitate and rebuild our bodies to better cope with the demands we place on them.
Reformer Pilates North Carlton
Injury recovery and rehabilitation is what we do best at Melbourne Osteohealth.
The focus of our Clinical Pilates near North Carlton is to combine a preventive rehabilitative plan that takes into account your clinical needs. The result is a customised program that is holistic and effective. With Function Fit, we have produced a combination of Clinical Pilates and Whole Body Functional Training. Reformer Pilates near North Carlton uses a two-step process to help you reach your goals. Firstly, we perform a Comprehensive Functional Assessment, the results of which will guide us in preparing your training plan, and secondly, we develop this plan to accommodate your goals.
The highlight of our training practices is our extensive focus on an individual approach to traditional Pilates. Unlike early Pilates training methods, we adapt our approach in accordance to specific needs and concerns of the individual. This adds flexibility to our work and increases the chances of seeing valuable results. Another benefit of this focus is the reduced risk of injury that occurs through re-aggravation.
In order to provide our individually tailored approach, we always begin with a Comprehensive Assessment. This ensures that our osteopath can prepare a plan that specifically meets your needs.
While the one-on- one class is an essential foundation of our program, you can choose to move onto semi-private or small group classes. Since our program is designed to suit your clinical requirements, we prefer to work according to your needs, be it timings or choice of private or group session. We suggest that at least two sessions per week is an ideal start to your training program.
Your recommended rehabilitation plan will comprise of a combination of 1-on- 1 and semi- private classes, the exact combination of these is determined by your clinical needs.
