Welcome to Melbourne Osteohealth

At every stage of your recovery, we’ve got you covered!

What you can expect from us

A thorough assessment let’s us get to know you, your body and your problem.

A general medical history and thorough physical examination helps us get to know your body and understand the causes of your pain.

We do a range of neuro-orthopaedic and functional movement tests to tell us what kind of pain you’re suffering and to better understand how you’ve adapted to it. This style of examination gives us an idea of why you developed your injury but most importantly it gives us strategies for increasing your functional capacity and decreasing your pain.

Targeted treatments with highly skilled therapists

We offer a range of therapies at MOH including Osteopathy, Exercise Physiology and Myotherapy so you’ll get a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to your recovery under one roof.

Your treatment will initially focus on pain management and what you can do to aid tissue repair and encourage recovery. In most cases, the early stages of any injury can be managed well with relative rest, gentle manual therapy and sensible movement. Manual treatment may involve massage, gentle joint mobilisation or manipulation and maybe even some dry needling to decrease pain and improve movement.

An individually tailored functional rehabilitation program

As soon as you can tolerate it, we’ll expand your program and get you addressing all the things that contributed to your problem; things like stiff joints, poor postural habits and workplace or sports ergonomics. These are often critical factors in preventing the recurrence of injury.

Then we’ll get working on building a bit of muscle and maximising movement so that you’re fit enough to get back to doing the things you love.

Return to work, social & sports activity planning

We will help you to transition back into your previous work safely, and assist you while you return to your social, sporting and physical activities – the final and most important step of your overall recovery!

Your next steps on the road to recovery

Make your booking online

Booking online is super quick and easy, click the ‘Book Online’ button and follow the prompts.

It will only take a minute or two and you’ll get an email confirmation with everything you need to know about the appointment including the date, time, location and therapist details. It will also tell you what to bring and how to submit all of the obligatory paperwork online, ahead of time.

Complete & return your new patient forms

To get you the best results, our therapists will need to obtain any relevant medical history and your informed consent to treat you. This means we require you to complete a New Patient form which includes our ‘informed consent to treatment’ form. These forms will be attached to your booking confirmation; completing them prior to your visit will allow you to maximise your treatment time with your therapist.

If you don’t have the time or facilities, don’t worry, you can always arrive a little early to your appointment to complete the paperwork here.

Attend your appointment

Your initial consult will generally take about an hour and follow ups are typically shorter, maybe 30 to 45 minutes. We’ll send you reminders to make sure you don’t miss your appointment (as this may incur fees).

We are easy to find on the ground floor at 1/100 Queensberry St in the heart of Carlton. You’ll find a map at the bottom of this page. Getting here is easy and there is ample street parking in the area.

We’re easily accessible to the Melbourne CBD, Fitzroy, Carlton, Collingwood, North Melbourne, and Parkville.

Follow your recovery plan

We will map out a step by step plan to give you the best chance of achieving the best recovery possible. Following the advice of your therapist is the best way to keep on track to achieving the best possible outcomes.

We’ll help you to plan a transition back into your previous work safely, and plan a graded return to your social, sporting and physical activities – the final and most important step of your overall recovery!
