Australians love avocados and are lucky to get them from March to November each year. There are four main varieties grown in Australia: Hass, Shepard, Reed and Wurtz.

As part of a healthy, balanced diet, avocados can:
• Lower LDL cholesterol and increase HDL cholesterol – important for cardiovascular health and reducing the risk of heart attack, stroke and atherosclerosis.
