The plank is one of those exercises that needs no equipment and little training. It’s great for developing upper body strength and shoulder stability. And it doesn’t have to get stale. This video shows a starting position that can keep the exercise within your abilities if you’re a beginner but you can make this more challenging by starting with your palms on the floor. It can get even more challenging by moving between resting on your elbows and coming up on to your hands, which we will show in another video soon:
