Before having kids, I spent many blissful hours reading novels and wining and dining with my husband and our friends.

Now my days are jam packed with fun adventures and quality time with my young family, but I do still find time to keep active and indulge in my passion for tennis.

Being a mum, and the pleasure I took in being pregnant have given me a keen interest in pregnancy related pain, but I still really enjoy treating the everyday, general population from different walks of life.  The people are the best part of the job for me!

When I’m not at MOH I also act as a work-place ergonomics consultant.

Neck pain and headaches, acute low back pain and rib problems are my specialty.

The health industry in general is constantly evolving, the science changes minute to minute and I loved that MOH is determined to learn and change with the times.

Prior to coming to MOH I was stuck in a rut clinically, doing the same thing day in day out and struggling to get the results I wanted for patients. I felt like I needed to grow and MOH was exactly what I needed.

I love MOH and the team I work with, it’s really brought back the passion I had for osteopathy.

Mel’s osteopathic practice is dedicated to addressing both an injury and it’s causes. After the better part of a decade as an osteopath this has seen Mel honed her hands-on skills and broaden her approach to encompass Pilates and rehabilitative work.

The diversity of Mel’s approach allows her to provide comprehensive self-management and exercise rehabilitation strategies to achieve the best long-term results for her patients.

Melinda completed a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2004 at Victoria University and then went on to undertake further studies to follow her passion for osteopathy. Mel obtained her Bachelor of Clinical Science in 2007 and went on to complete a Master of Health Science, majoring in Osteopathy in 2009.

With a background in competitive tennis and a young family of her own Melinda has a special interest in sports injuries and osteopathy for children and pregnancy related conditions.

In addition to clinical practice Melinda has a keen interest in ongoing education and the education of up and coming health professionals. Mel has taught anatomy and physiology at a tertiary level at Victoria University and at the Copeland College of Massage.

Melinda is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA), Medicare, TAC and the Victorian Workcover Authority.

When I’m not at MOH I also work as a corporate work-place ergonomics consultant
