I’m a bit of a political hound and love spending my time reading current affairs, I’m also an avid traveller and love learning (and eating…) Italian.

Before becoming an osteopath, I wore several hats, working in Real estate valuations and as an academic in a senior lecturing role at RMIT.

Moving from Pilates to massage, to osteopathy was really a continuation along the path of following my passion for health and movement.

I love working with motivated clients who are determined to improve their own health.

Pilates has given me the tools to really manage low back and pelvic pain well, so I enjoy working in that area and seeing the change I can help make to people’s lives.

Neck and shoulder and low back and pelvic pain are my areas of clinical interest.

I first approached MOH because it was close to home and well regarded within my local community but I’m still here years later because of the caring team and supportive environment.

Leo uses the philosophies of Osteopathy and Pilates to aid the return of the body back to it’s natural state of health and to help clients to achieve their health and well-being goals. He is interested in helping clients move more efficiently, improve their posture and get back to doing things they could before their injury or illness.

Following his interests in health and well-being, a change of career led Leo to study Osteopathy at Victoria University, completing a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). Leo has worked at MOH as a Pilates instructor and massage therapist since 2014 and has enjoyed helping clients feel better and move better and improve their sense of well-being. He is now available at Melbourne Osteohealth for osteopathic consultations on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

An appointment with Leo will involve a thorough medical history taking and physical examination to identify potential causes and maintaining factors that have led to the pain or disability you’re currently experiencing. After gaining an understanding of why you are experiencing your symptoms a treatment plan will be developed and implemented. As a primary health caregiver, Leo will also consider and advise if there are any other conditions that may require medical or specialist attention.

With many years’ experience in corporate and office employment, Leo is well placed to understand the many physical stressors most patients experience in office based or corporate work and can provide realistic advice for improvement. His strong interest in efficient human movement and studies of biomechanics at university means Leo is well placed to provide advice for clients regarding sport, work and household tasks.

Leo will aim to help address musculoskeletal imbalances and reduce your discomfort using muscle energy techniques, joint manipulations, indirect soft tissue techniques and exercise prescription. Leo aims to help you have a better understanding of the nature of your condition, how to best manage it and what you can do to improve your own state of health and well-being.

As an Allied Healthcare Provider, Leo will encourage you to use a team approach to improve your health. He is happy to communicate with your GP, Medical Specialist, Counsellor or Exercise Physiologist to ensure a co-ordinated approach to your health in the aspects of your life that matter to you.

He is a recognised WorkSafe provider and can assist in your recovery and return to work.
